Strap is the most necessary of accessories for the DJI Mini 2. It’s essential for all drone users as they travel a lot.
But many might find it a real bummer to not have one included with their DJI Mini 2.
So, what to do for DJI Mini 2 Strap Not included?
All you need to do is get a strap perfect for the mavic mini 2. You only have to get a strap 28cm in length or more. However, you have to be cautious in choosing straps. The wrong strap can and will break your propeller.
DJI never includes straps with their drones. So I decided on exploring the more inexpensive options rather than paying double the price. Find out more further below.
Does the DJI Mini 2 Come with a Propeller Holder?
The DJI Mini 2 propeller holder is the strap that holds the propeller in place. The basic DJI Mini 2 drone does not come with a propeller holder. Even though the strap is the most important of DJI Mini 2 Accessories. So, without it any drone can face difficulties such as propel batwing drone flying issue.
However, The Fly More Combo comes with the DJI Mini 2 Propeller Strap. It does cost almost double the price of the drone itself. It is not worth it if you need only a strap.
Why Do You Need a Strap with the DJI Mini 2?
A lot of consumers who use drones usually travel a lot too. You would want to fasten your propellers while traveling. Because otherwise the propeller might get damaged in your backpack.
Additionally, it is a good way to tuck your drone in somewhere safely and securely.
What Is the Inexpensive Alternative of the Propeller Strap?
There are both expensive and inexpensive options of buying propeller straps for your DJI Mini 2. Buying a propeller strap from DJI is the expensive option here. Whereas there are other inexpensive alternatives.
Buying a Propeller Strap from DJI:
You could always buy a propeller holder from DJI themselves. That would make the whole process simple.
However, DJI does not sell the propeller strap separately. If you want the propeller strap, you would have to buy Fly More combo. Which as I’ve mentioned before, costs almost double the price of the drone itself.
Fortunately, there are many options you can pick from when it comes to inexpensive propeller straps. As long as the elastic strap is big enough to wrap the drone, that’s good enough. Simple, right?
Calculating the Right Length of the Strap:
To calculate the right length of the strap, you would need the dimensions of the drone itself. Furthermore, the dimensions of the drone when it is folded.
What are the dji mini 2 propeller holder strap dimensions?
According to DJI, The dimensions of the drone when folded are 13.8 x 8.1 x 5.8 cm. (LxWxH) The dimensions you have to consider are width and height.
The formula you’ll have to follow is: 2*(Width+Height), that is because you’ll strap the wings in the direction of the width.
So, what about mavic mini 2 strap length?
For Mavic Mini 2, The length of the strap would need to be: 2*(8.1+5.8)cm = 27.8cm in total. A 28cm elastic band will be perfect for the Mavic Mini 2.
Choosing the Strap:
This is the easiest part. You only need to choose a good elastic strap that is either 28cm or bigger. If the strap is too big you can just double fold on it.
However, getting a strap smaller than that size will result in a torn strap. So bigger is fine but smaller is not.

How to Easily Fasten Your Propellers With the Strap?
This is probably the easiest part. You can solve it within a few short period unlike fixing camera issues on DJI drones. There are only two methods to fasten your strap on the propeller. It depends on whether the strap is of perfect size or if it’s too big.
If the Strap is of Perfect Length:
If the strap you got is perfect or near perfect then there is nothing more to it. Just put it on and tuck the propellers in gently.
Make sure it is properly in so that the propellers don’t slip out during travels.
If the Strap is Substantially Bigger Than the Drone:
Even this is not a big problem. All you have to do is twist the band in the figure 8. Just put it on like that and your propellers will be secured.
My suggestion would be to get a strap with velcro for the convenience. If you’re really strapped for money though, then just use a large rubber band. It costs next to nothing.
You have to be careful about only one thing. Make sure the strap is not too tight. If your strap is too tight it might bend your propellers. And finally, always keep the drone under maintenence.
